1. What all IsoBlock sensors share
Every IsoBlock voltage sensor uses the same isolation architecture: the input signal is amplified, modulated into a magnetic field, transferred across a galvanic barrier, demodulated, and output as a ±10 V differential pair. This gives every IsoBlock these shared characteristics:
- Galvanic isolation from input to output - the measurement source is electrically separated from the DAQ
- DIN-rail mounting with spring cage connectors
- 100 kHz bandwidth (120 kHz on Q-4c)
- 0.2% accuracy (0.1% option on V-1c, V-4c, and V-3P)
- 112 dB CMR at 60 Hz (110 dB on Q-4c)
- Surge protection at every input channel

5. IsoBlock V-1c - single-channel isolated voltage sensor
(500 kHz opt.)
16 standard input configurations from ±5 V to ±1.5 kV, plus custom. The only IsoBlock with a 500 kHz bandwidth option and a 7 VAC output option. Lowest power consumption at 1.3 W steady-state. Through delay: 3.8 us. UL 61010-1 and UL 61010-2-030 certified.
Smallest IsoBlock footprint. The 500 kHz bandwidth option and 7 VAC output make it the only IsoBlock that can go beyond 100 kHz and interface with AC-referenced DAQ inputs.
Single-point isolated voltage measurement where accuracy and phase shift matter. Power quality monitoring, EV battery cell testing, single-channel DAQ inputs. Use when you need one channel per measurement point rather than four in one module.
6. IsoBlock V-4c - four-channel isolated voltage sensor
Four independently isolated channels in one DIN-rail module. Each channel has its own isolated reference - four separate measurement sources at different potentials can be connected simultaneously. Includes millivolt input ranges (±10 mV, ±50 mV, ±100 mV, ±500 mV, ±2 V) that the V-1c does not offer. UL 61010-1 and UL 61010-2-030 certified.
Four isolated channels plus millivolt input ranges in one module. The V-4c is the only IsoBlock that can measure both millivolt-level signals and high-voltage signals (up to 1.5 kV) across four independently isolated channels.
Multi-channel isolated measurement. Solar string monitoring, battery pack voltage measurement, multi-channel power converter testing. Use when you need four isolated measurements on one DIN rail.
7. IsoBlock V-3P - three-phase plus neutral isolated voltage sensor
Purpose-built for three-phase systems. Four channels: three phases plus neutral. Outputs all line-to-line and line-to-ground signal pairs. Supports Delta and Wye configurations depending on the DAQ input type (NRSE or Differential). Input ranges: 150 VAC, 250 VAC, 500 VAC, 700 VAC, 1000 VAC. One V-3P replaces four differential sensors. 112 dB CMR at 60 Hz.
Only IsoBlock designed for three-phase plus neutral. One module replaces four separate sensors. The 7 VAC output is specifically scaled for AC measurement, matching the VAC input ranges directly.
Three-phase power monitoring, grid-tied inverter testing, motor drive input/output measurement, utility power quality analysis. Any application where you need all three phases plus neutral measured with galvanic isolation in one module.
8. IsoBlock Q-4c - isolated signal amplifier for millivolt measurement
4200 V surge
Designed for quench detection and location in superconducting magnets. Measures millivolt-level differential voltages with selectable gain (5x to 1000x) across four channels. Each channel is galvanically isolated from the others and from ground: 1200 V sustained and 4200 V surge channel-to-channel isolation. The input protection stage survives voltage spikes from magnet energy extraction.
Two gain configurations available: High-Gain (10 mV, 40 mV, 150 mV, 500 mV, 2 V) and Low-Gain (1 V, 2 V, 5 V, 10 V, 20 V). Gain is selected per channel via jumper headers. 2500 V primary-to-secondary isolation. Input impedance: > 10 MOhm. Non-linearity: 80 ppm. RoHS compliant and CE certified.
Channel-to-channel isolation (1200 V sustained, 4200 V surge) - no other IsoBlock offers this. High gain up to 1000x for millivolt signals. The Q-4c is the only IsoBlock built for applications where each channel must be isolated from every other channel, not just from the DAQ ground.
Superconducting magnet quench detection and location. Any application requiring galvanically isolated millivolt measurement with channel-to-channel isolation: big physics experiments, magnet testing, coil voltage monitoring. Also used as a general-purpose isolated signal amplifier when high gain is needed.
