Product Details

Isolated Differential Voltage Sensor

The IsoBlock V-1c is a single-channel, galvanically isolated differential voltage sensor. Input voltage ranges span ±5V to ±1500V with selectable accuracy: standard ±(0.2% of reading + 0.005% of range) for industrial applications, or precision ±(0.1% of reading + 0.005% of range) for metrology work. The sensor outputs a differential ±10V signal (with ±5V and ±7VAC options) with 100kHz bandwidth (500kHz custom option available), measuring both DC and AC components simultaneously.

Measurement Capability

The V-1c measures differential voltage across two input terminals with complete galvanic isolation from your data acquisition system. Input voltage ranges span from ±5V to ±1500V. The sensor outputs a differential ±10V signal (with ±5V and ±7VAC options) that is galvanically isolated from the primary measurement circuit.

The V-1c simultaneously captures both DC and AC components with 100kHz bandwidth (500kHz custom option available). Common mode rejection at 60Hz reaches 112 dB.

Three-Way Galvanic Isolation

The V-1c provides primary-to-secondary and signal-to-power isolation rated for ±1500V sustained. Max common mode transient voltage is 5000V for 1 minute. Every isolation barrier is tested with 1800V partial discharge testing at 150pC detection threshold.

Non-Invasive Measurement with High Input Impedance

Input impedance scales with voltage range: 440kΩ (±5-30V), 2MΩ (±50-300V), and 8MΩ (±500V-1500V).

Electrical Performance

Excellent temperature stability (±50 ppm/°C gain drift, -25°C to +70°C operating range). Input-to-output linearity is <0.04% across the full measurement range, with phase shift less than 0.05° at 60Hz. Common mode rejection reaches 112 dB @ 60Hz. Max through delay is 3.8µs (100kHz bandwidth version). Output offset voltage is 2σ <±500µV typical (4σ <±1mV limit).

Compact DIN Rail Form Factor

Standard DIN rail mount (1.4" wide × 3.5" high × 2.5" deep, 198g) with spring cage connectors. Direct connection to standard twisted pair cable (20-6 AWG) and DAQ differential analog inputs. Low output impedance (20Ω).

Frequently Asked Questions

The IsoBlock V-1C is a purely analog sensor with no internal ADC stage. Ideally, its output is continuous, and the resolution is ultimately dictated by the DAQ system or measurement device you are using. The better the data acquisition system, the finer the resolution you can achieve.

The IsoBlock V-1C consumes 1.3W during steady-state operation. Note, there is a surge current during start up that is 300 mA for 6 seconds.
